Kodak 5100 Printer Review:
The Kodak 5100 is an All-in-One Printer, featuring print, scan and copy capabilities, delivers high-quality documents and photos for users who enjoy printing without limitations. The Kodak 5100 Printer can print and copy up to 32 pages per minute in black and 22 pages per minute in color, and print photos from PICTBRIDGE-enabled cameras without involving a PC.
I have had my new Kodak 5100 Printer for over a month now and I have made several color photos, scans, and copies. So far I am very pleased with all of the results. At first I had some issues and I was frustrated, but as it all turned out, it was the stupid operator’s fault. It usually helps a lot if you will read the entire Owner’s manual before you jump right in like I did. I had previously owned several of the other brands of All-In-Ones and I thought that I already knew it all. I called the Kodak 1-800 help line……they answer in New York……and yes….low and behold…..they actually speak English…..the Kodak people were very very helpful and they walked me right thru the steps for proper operation of this equipment….and they even sent me a set of new ink cartridges and photo paper…..how nice of them….and I am appreciative too…..Before buying the unit, I had read a couple of negative reviews somewhere about how this Kodak 5100 Printer is too big and too noisy….all I have to say about that is “what a bunch of cry-babies”….let me tell you what I think…yes this machine is a little louder than some others but it doesn’t wake up the cat or the neighbors….and yes it is a little bigger than most others but it also seems to be built much better and it is not so huge that you will need to build an extra room onto your house….for a comparison in size you can see my photo image, here on Amazon, with my new Kodak next to my new 20″ iMac computer and I really like them both. After many years with PC, I finally got smart and tried out an Apple…..and very glad that I did. The most very best thing that I like about this Kodak, besides the great color photos, are the reasonably priced ink cartridges and how easy they are to replace when needed. The cartridges are much bigger too than the other brands. I no longer have to refinance my home in order to buy new ink cartridges…..good-bye HP and PC and all of the rest of you junk……I highly recommend Kodak 5100 printer……and yes….Apple’s iMac computer too…….
