I found the Meade Rb-60 to be a very good value. If your just starting out or curious about telescopes. I would look at this scope. The construction is good, the optics are exceptional for a scope in this price range. And with the 2 included eyepieces it has plenty of power. I looked at the moon and took crystal clear photographs with my digital camera through this scope. Meade Rb-60 is also great for looking at land objects. I photographed a Red Tail Hawk through it. And looked at a cell phone tower that is 3 miles away, on top of a mountain. And it looked like it was right in front of you. The assembly was easy, the directions are true & helpful. And the tripod is sturdier than the one I use for my 35mm camera. All in all I would give this scope a 4.5 out of 5 rating. And I am already planning on purchasing another Meade scope very soon. The next one with Auto-Star.
