The external display measures 1.25 inches and has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and support for 262K colors. The Nokia 6555’s 1.3-megapixel camera lens is right above, and you can use the external display as a viewfinder for still portraits and video. When your Nokia 6555 phone is in standby mode, an elegant analog timepiece is displayed to assure punctuality.

The Nokia 6555 phone has a 30 MB internal memory, and it’s expandable via MicroSD memory cards up to 4 GB in size. It holds up to 1000 contact entries with space for up to five phone numbers and an email address for each contact, in addition to nickname, birthday, street address, and notes. You can assign a photo or video to a contact that will play on the external display when you receive a call, as well as pair a contact with a polyphonic ringtone. You can also play MP3, AAC, eAAc+, and AMR ringtones.

The Nokia 6555’s 1.3-megapixel camera offers five resolution choices (from 1280 x 1024 down to 160 x 120), and Nokia 6555 features multiple quality settings and color effects, night mode, multishot capability, digital zoom, brightness and white-balance settings, and a self-timer. The video camcorder can capture video in up to QCIF format (176 x 144 pixels) at 15 frames per second (fps) and clips can either be limited to 20 seconds for sending via MMS or run as long as you have memory available on your MicroSD memory card.

The Nokia 6555’s digital music player is compatible with MP3, AAC, eAAC+, WMA, and protected WMA files purchased from online music stores (or downloaded from subscription services). It can display album artwork graphics, provides selectable skins for changing the look and feel of the music player, and supports grouping in playlist, artist, album, and genre. The integrated video player can handle 3GPP, H.263 video, MPEG-4, and AMR video formats. A flight mode that lets you keep listening to tunes and watching video with the phone’s network connectivity turned off.
