Samsung LN-T2642H Review:

For anyone looking for a great value on a smaller 720p HDTV, Samsung LN-T2642H 26″ flat-panel LCD is an excellent choice. As Samsung’s entry level 26-inch LCD, Samsung LN-T2642H offers a 4000:1 contrast ratio, a 160-degree viewing angle, an 8ms response time panel, 2 HDMI inputs, and SRS TruSurroundXT from two side speakers. High-quality virtual surround sound can be experienced with just the speakers built into the Samsung LN-T2642H. SRS TruSurround XT technology delivers an amazing, simulated 3D effect with clear dialog and powerful bass through hidden side speakers. TruSurround XT audio adds three audio enhancement technologies to produce an amazingly immersive sound experience.

Samsung LN-T2642H is the perfect LCD HDTV for a bedroom or other smaller room. It has a brilliant picture, great menus and the side mounted speakers are fine for average listening. Samsung LN-T2642H has two HDMI inputs so connection to a cable set top box is a snap. The Samsung LN-T2642H has a graphic equalizer so you can shape the sound to your listening pleasure. Often I read reviews of smaller HDTVs where the reviewer downgrades the speakers. I was concerned about this when we started looking for a 26″ set. My fears were for naught. It isn’t “home theater” quality but it isn’t the tinny sound some people describe. It’s lightweight and can be moved from room to room with little effort. Highly recommended.
